While weddings and funerals are the most common ceremonies that celebrants design, any important life events can be marked with a unique ceremony.

Naming ceremonies are commonly held as an alternatives to christenings and baptisms. Couples may also have a renewal of vows to reaffirm their commitment to each other as part of a special anniversary or just because they would like to!

But there is no end to the possibilities to the events you can celebrate, for example:

A friendship ceremony

Hold an event to celebrate a longstanding or special friendship. This is a fabulous way to mark an important platonic relationship, and to declare a mutual commitment between friends.

A re-naming ceremony

If you have changed your name for any reason (for example because of a change of gender identity, a reconnection with birth parents, the adoption of a stage name or simply a new preference), why not hold a ceremony to announce and celebrate your new identity?

A coming out ceremony

Choosing to be open about your sexual or gender identity is a big moment, and a personal ceremony can be a wonderful way to share your pride in your identity and recognise the support and love you enjoy.

A retirement ceremony

Retirement is the perfect opportunity for a brilliant ceremony, where you can commemorate and celebrate your achievements at work, pay thanks to your former colleagues and mark the passage to a new and fulfilling phase of life.
